Hollywood Woodwork - The Risk Management Academy℠ Advantage

The team at Hollywood Woodwork recognized the need to step up their risk management efforts. In an industry filled with risks, they were motivated to take action that would build a stronger safety culture. To remedy this, they sent several team members, including President and CEO Sebastien DesMarais, to a Federated Insurance Risk Management Academy^SM (RMA).

From Knowledge to Action

The RMAs are complimentary seminars designed to help businesses become more successful by strengthening their risk management practices. Held at the Federated Insurance^® Home Office in Owatonna, Minnesota, RMAs give participants the chance to connect with industry peers and learn directly from risk management professionals at Federated^®. The sessions tackle pressing topics and provide guidance, so attendees leave with strategies they can use to drive real improvements in their own organizations.

Taking Steps Toward Safety

After the RMA, Sebastien brought back valuable insights on building a safety-focused culture, with special attention on safe driving practices and fire prevention. Equipped with new tools and insights, the Hollywood Woodwork team quickly rolled out Federated DriveSAFE^SM telematics for every company vehicle. Within a month, they launched a new driving policy and saw employees actively take part. With help from Federated, they also completed a detailed fire safety walkthrough, identifying and addressing hazards that had gone unnoticed before.

“We used the tools they offered us to make this place a lot safer than it was before we attended the RMA,” Sebastien said. As the team at Hollywood Woodwork found, attending a Risk Management Academy offers much more than standard risk management knowledge. It provides business leaders with insights and practical strategies to help protect their companies’ bottom lines and build a safer, more resilient future.
