Your use of mySHIELD is conditioned upon acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. For clarity, these Terms and Conditions apply only to mySHIELD and the Terms and Conditions on federatedinsurance.com shall be separate, governing only the use of federatedinsurance.com. If you do not agree to the terms below, please do not use this website or send e-mail to anyone at Federated. You agree to regularly review these terms and conditions and agree that continued use of this website following any changes will constitute acceptance of such changes.
For users of the website who are only accessing public information, your use of the website shall be deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Users are required to enroll in order to gain access to mySHIELD. When you complete your registration, you agreed to these Terms and Conditions. Your continued use of mySHIELD shall constitute acceptance to any changes to these Terms and Conditions.
For personal lines clients, by self-registering, you agree that you are the account holder or are authorized by the account holder to access information related to the account.
For commercial clients, prospective users will be invited to register for mySHIELD by either Federated or a client’s mySHIELD Administrator. While a client’s mySHIELD Administrator will initially be identified as the client’s owner and/or officer, an existing Administrator can add/revise the identified Administrators. Administrators are responsible for inviting users to register and assigning and/or confirming access permissions for registered users. Where an Administrator is either not identified or not available to invite a prospective user, Federated maintains a process to respond to and authenticate requests from a prospective user to gain access to mySHIELD or portions thereof. If a prospective user qualifies under such process to obtain access to mySHIELD, Federated provides email notification of the requested access and decisions on such requests to the client’s Administrator, or if none, a client owner, officer, or primary Federated contact. If no changes are requested within two business days, the access granted under such process is deemed confirmed by the client’s Administrator or, if none, by its owner, officer, or primary Federated contact.
The Administrator or, if none, the client’s owner, officer or primary Federated contact, is responsible for ensuring the individuals assigned to a particular functionality are authorized to view the information therein. Federated assumes no liability for an enrolled user’s unauthorized access to information and/or functionality available to such enrolled user pursuant to permissions confirmed or assigned by the Administrator. Further, the Administrator is responsible for periodically reviewing and updating the permissions granted to information and/or functionality for each enrolled user.
Federated reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify without prior notice: 1) this website, including the content and design of this site, 2) the functionality, services, materials and mobile apps provided on this website, and 3) these Terms and Conditions.
