When the cool weather hits, birds migrate, people cocoon, and all sorts of creatures look for warmer spots to take up residence. But if a cute little mouse decides to move in with you, you’re probably not going to be thrilled with the idea. Ditto for the squirrel who’s eyeing up your attic as a cozy spot to spend the winter, or the raccoon who thinks your chimney looks pretty comfy.
They don’t mean to offend—they just want to come in out of the cold just as you do. Most of us will agree, however, that they need to stay outdoors where they belong.
There are a few things you can do to make your home less of an attraction to four-legged pests. Trying some or all of these tips just may help dissuade them from wanting to share your space.
Make sure the only visitors to move in with you this fall are the ones you invite in!
