Federated Insurance Urges Members to Prepare for Severe Weather and Natural Disasters Now – During the Calm Before the Storm

Severe weather and natural disasters that were once considered unpredictable now feel inevitable. Hurricanes, tornadoes, and wildfires are occurring regularly across the United States. Members need to take action now – in the calm before the storm – to help avoid becoming one of the 1 in 4 businesses that fail following a natural disaster.1 Federated Insurance is encouraging member clients to take action today with the help of disaster planning and recovery risk management resources.

On May 19, Federated Insurance sent member clients an informative email highlighting the regionally-specific severe weather and natural disasters that could impact their business this year. When relevant to the region, the email connected member clients with:

  • A Hurricane Preparedness and Recovery Plan
  • A Tornado Preparedness Plan
  • Wildfire Safety Zone Recommendations
  • Additional disaster preparedness training and resources found in mySHIELD®

To discuss your unique disaster planning risk management needs, reach out to your local Federated Insurance marketing representative.
