We are in search of a knowledgeable and respected Property & Casualty Actuary with extensive experience in Workers’ Compensation.
We are seeking an individual who has experience building and using actuarial models, who has demonstrated positive influencing and decision-making skills, and who can build effective relationships with peers and an executive management team.
Position Responsibilities
Serve as a member of the workers’ compensation business team responsible for defining, facilitating, analyzing, recommending and coordinating the implementation of systems, processes, or procedures that will result in financial stability and profitable growth for our $170 million book of workers’ compensation business.
Responsible for expert actuarial analyses of market, industry, and product line factors that drive product development and appropriate pricing and reserving decisions.
Serve as an expert resource in the development and implementation of actuarial procedures and other business requirements within the department.
Supervise assigned personnel to maximize productivity and teamwork.
Position Requirements
Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) required
Minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience with strong emphasis on workers’ compensation
Experience with pricing large accounts is a plus and predictive modeling experience is desired
A level of excellence in oral and written communication, analyzing and problem solving, decision-making, project management and organizational skills
Relocation to Owatonna, MN
Permanent authorization to work in the U.S.
